Leslie R. Hantz

Leslie Ray "Les" Hantz, 58, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, in IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born July 25, 1947, in Greensburg, a son of the late Donald T. Hantz and Dorothy Jean (Pallitto) Hantz. He had been employed as an administrative assistant for Allegheny Energy and formerly Kennametal, Latrobe. Les was a devoted member of Greensburg Alliance Church and was active in the church choir and various church organizations. He was a member of the Westmoreland Choral Society, an avid Pitt sports fan and a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School, class of 1965, and enjoyed Greensburg Salem football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Peter Pallitto, and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sarah Hantz. He is survived by brother Gary A. Hantz and wife Lynn, of Southwest Greensburg; twin nieces whom he adored Maggie and Madison Hantz; aunts and uncles Robert and Marion Pallitto, of Monroeville, Burton and Joann Pallitto, of Greensburg, Marie Marcinik, of Latrobe, and William Hantz, of Kissimmee, Fla.; several cousins, and close friends at Alliance Church and Allegheny Energy. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dr. D. Roy Dail officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Greensburg Alliance Church.
