William D. Crowley, 53, of Greensburg, died suddenly Sunday, March 2, 2008, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. He was born Aug. 21, 1954, in Ellwood City, a son of the late William D. and Nellie Klindienst Crowley. He was a graduate of Grove City College, earning a bachelor's degree in music. He then earned his master's degree in performing arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Bill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, of Greensburg, where he served as choir director and organist. He was also music director at the Christian Science Church, in Greensburg. Bill was active in the Westmoreland County Choral Society. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn "Mickey" Crowley, in 2007. He is survived by a brother, John D. (Alane) Crowley, of Mt. Jewett; a niece, Aimee (Patrick) Conneely, of Bradford; two nephews, Peter (Holly) Crowley, of Mt. Jewett, and Jeff (Beth) Crowley, of Slippery Rock; two grandnieces; four grandnephews; a brother-in-law, Don Crockett, of Berkeley, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Beverly (Richard) Yentsch, of Addison, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 W. Fourth St., Greensburg.
